Part-time Jobs
For students studying abroad, financial issues can be a problem. People often think that becoming an exchange student or an international student costs a lot of money and, unfortunately, it does! Studying abroad will always cost more than living in your own country. It's unavoidable, unless you get a full scholarship, which may have strict requirements. Therefore, one or more part-time jobs could provide needed support for living abroad if you don't want it to be too expensive for your parents or family.
To have a part-time job as a foreign student in Japan, however, you must first apply for permission to engage in "Activity other than that Permitted under the Visa Status Previously Granted", using the following immigration document:
